Name:Vincent Mwayi
Age: 27
Date of Birth:
3rd March 1977
Nationality:Ugandan
Birth-Town:
Kampala, Uganda

Current Residence: Aylesbury

Why & when did you come here?
There are more opportunities in
England, now I can at least support my family back home. I came here in February last year.

Family:
I have 8 sisters & 5 brothers.

Status: Single.

Education:0 level in 10 subjects & diploma in short hand typist.

Occupation:
Handy man.

Height: 5ft 7.

Bodyweight: Off-season 84kg, Pre-Contest 74kg

Vital Statistics: Pre-contest: Neck 17", Arms 17.2", Waist 32", Quads 24 1/2", Calves 15 1/2",

When and why did you begin training?
My older brother was always admired for his great physique from the locals & I wanted the same. So I begun training at home on my own as he would not let me as I was 15 years old. I couldn’t use my brothers weights so I had to use natural resources like Rocks etc (Tony: I think he must of watched Rocky iv too much :P)

How long did it take for you to see the difference?
I didn’t see a big difference till I was 22 as my brother let me use his weights at the age of 21 (mean b...ard ?) The reason why he did not let me train was he believed if I trained earlier I would’ve stunted my growth. (Tony; Well it certainly worked out for him, maybe that’s where I went wrong!)

How did your family react to the new you?
My mother did not like it as any crimes that occurred, the first suspects would be the big guys in the town. My father died when I was 5 years old, so my older brother was my father figure, he was very proud of me. That’s when he started giving me advice.

You’re a lifetime natural Bodybuilder but can you say that you haven’t been at least slightly tempted to go the non-natural route?
I have never been tempted to go the non-natural route because since my childhood I have always heard that it has got a lot of side effects and on top of that, I cannot afford to buy steroids

Who do you train with?
Most of time on my own unless when anyone comes up and offers to train with me.

What or who made you decide to compete?

When I came to this country, after a few months training at ‘Body flex gym’. The owner Tony Montalbano, believed I would do well if I competed and made me believe in myself, so I competed with his help.
